Hi friends,
This week's Mid-Point is serving as a pivot. I'm stepping back and starting from the beginning. Starting with today's issue, and subsequently with my future editions, I am going to be answering the following questions:
- How did I get here to create it?
- What is the story about it?
- When did all this happen?
- What is Uplift and Mend?
- For whom is this for?
- Why does it exist?
- What is to come?
- Who created it?
- What is next?
My format will remain the same including my opening quotes and resources for finding help.
For now, I will continue to pop into your inbox 2 times per month. However, I have plans to visit you more often in the future.
Hi, I'm Kimberly.
I am the creator of Uplift and Mend. It is a labor of love and based on my own mental health journey.
I decided to create this newsletter to not only share my story, but to show people they are not alone, and most importantly, to provide hope. When we find ourselves entrenched in an emotional system from which there seems no escape, it is no doubt we become desperate for light in a dark room.
My journey is unique to me as an individual, but not uncommon. At some point in our lives we will experience lifeβs curveballs. How we cope, manage, and adapt with this turbulence is key in our ability to move forward into calmer waters and times. What my healing journey has taught me is there is hope and an ability to change our circumstances - as long as we are willing to do the inner self work and outer action steps.
This newsletter will highlight a plethora of mental health and personal development topics. From an explanation of my diagnoses to describing the healing modalities I embrace in order to find relief, release, and healing. There will be references for the specific resources I use. (At the time of this publication, I have no affiliation, contact, sponsorship, or endorsement with any of the mentioned resources.) They are just an example of what works for me.
Other issues will outline suggestions for mental health support: Not only supporting oneself but how to help support someone else. Daily practices, small action steps, can be incorporated into your day for self care and healing. Many of these will revolve around a theme for you to focus on to help you create new habits for your own wellbeing.
This newsletter is dedicated to all of you, my family, friends, and subscribers. Thank you for taking the time to be here, read my story, and share in the journey of creating a healing and self care practice of your own. It is my hope that you find this newsletter makes a difference in your ability to Uplift and Mend your life.
